A neighborhood laundromat - sample concept

Clean clothes.
Honest machines.

Twelve washers, six dryers, one dog asleep under the folding table. Family-run since 1974, open every day until 23:00, and the change machine has only eaten two dollars all decade.

How it works

Drop. Wait. Fold.

01

Drop the bag

Weigh it at the counter, get a tag with your number. Ten minutes, tops.

02

We do the boring part

Sorted, washed, dried and folded by people who have opinions about dryer sheets.

03

Pick up tomorrow

Your bag waits on the tagged shelf, square as a brick. Dog not included.

Since 1974

Three owners,
one dog.

Nonna Rosa opened TUMBLE with four machines and a radio. Her son added six more machines. Her granddaughter added the mural, the free library shelf and the dog.

The radio is still on the same shelf. It still works. So does the first machine, mostly, and nobody has the heart to retire it.

Questions

Before you load.

Is TUMBLE a real laundromat?

No. TUMBLE is a fictional shop built as a website template. The machines above are an interactive illustration, the prices are sample content, and no laundry is washed, weighed or folded here.

Do the machines really take quarters?

In the fiction: yes, and the change machine is famously reliable. In reality: this template has no payment flow of any kind.

Can I drop off a real bag?

The sample shop offers wash and fold by the pound. No bags are taken; this is a fictional shop.

What's wrong with machine one?

Nothing. It is from 1974, it sounds like a tractor, and it out-washes everything newer. Respect your elders.
