Helix Genomics / Sequencing / Basel

Read the code of life

A sequencing lab that turns one tube of blood into a clear answer. The molecule on this page is built live: scroll and watch it unwind, light up and split.

Scroll to unwind
Step 01 / Two strands

Everything starts wound tight.

Every cell carries the same long instruction, folded into a spiral so small a person could not see it. Our work begins by treating that spiral with respect.

Step 02 / Reading

One rung at a time.

As the spiral relaxes, each base pair is read and lit. Four letters, billions of positions, and a pipeline that keeps every one of them in order.

Step 03 / The split

Then the strands part.

Once the strands separate, the copy can be checked against the original. That is the moment a result stops being data and becomes an answer a clinician can use.

Read depth, not guesswork.

-Base pairs drawn
-Twist per pair
-Pairs read
-Strands apart

Ancestry atlas

A plain-language report with the science kept on the page.

A lab of nineteen people.

Biologists, software engineers and two very careful logisticians in a converted dye works. We turn away work we cannot do well and we publish our error rates.
