The typewriter shop at the end of the street.

Machines with ink in their veins. Scroll, and this one will tell you itself.

Paper in.

A fresh sheet rolls under the platen. Every letter starts this way.

The letter

It types.

Thirty-six keys, one basket of hammers. Watch the carriage walk left as the line grows.

Return

Bell, sweep, next line.

The bell at the margin is the same one above the shop door.

Signed

Yours, in ink.

No battery. No updates. A machine that means it.

The shop keeps three benches.

01

Restoration

Stripped to the frame, cleaned segment by segment, timed on the bench until the touch is even. Turnaround is weeks, not months.

02

Ribbons & parts

Inked fresh and spooled by hand. Black, black-and-red, and the occasional purple for letters that need it.

03

Machines for sale

Portables, desktops, one stubborn standard. Each leaves typing, with a fresh ribbon and a page of its own work.
